A Message from Melissa Liew, Founder of Learning Fresh


Welcome to Learning Fresh! I’m Melissa Liew, and I’m delighted to share our story with you. My journey as an educator began in 2011, when I opened our very 1st branch in Taman Melawati.

Inspired by the belief that every child deserves a nurturing, creative, and meaningful education, I set out to build schools where children could truly flourish. Over the years, our Learning Fresh family grew:

2014: Our 2nd branch opened at The School, Jaya One.
2016: We celebrated two milestones: our own standalone prepschool on Jalan Gasing and a 4th branch in Green Lane, Penang.
2018: Our 5th branch launched at Faber Towers, Taman Desa.

Throughout our journey, we’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of families, some of whom are now young adults in their early thirties, making their own mark on the world. It’s been an incredible joy to watch our former students grow and thrive, and to see the lasting impact of a joyful, child-centered education.

In 2020, as the world changed, we chose to adapt and innovate for our families’ safety and well-being, seamlessly pivoting to online learning and continuing to support our community in new ways.

With renewed vision and energy, we reopened with our flagship campus at Arcoris, Mont Kiara in 2021, followed by our Damansara Heights centre in 2025.

Through every chapter, my commitment has remained the same: to offer a joyful, Reggio Emilia-inspired education that celebrates every child’s unique journey. I am grateful for the trust of our families and the dedication of our team, who have made Learning Fresh what it is today.
